To further develop bilateral cooperation between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Korea Baiterek NMH JSC headed by Anuar Omarkhodjayev, Holding Board Chairman Deputy with Ainur Kuatova, Managing Director - Holding Board member - and heads of affiliate organizations Kazyna Capital Management, Kazakhstan Project Preparation Fund, Development Bank of Kazakhstan and Housing Guarantee Fund visited the Republic of Korea with a working trip.

The trip agenda includes business meetings with heads of major Korean companies: KOLON Investment, Korean Corporation for foreign urban infrastructure development, EximBank, Hyundai E&C, Korean Development Institute (KDI), Trade Insurance Corporation K-Sure, Korean Investment Corporation (KIC), Korean Corporation for housing and urban development guarantee, SK Lubricants, Korean Institute for Advanced Technologies (KIAT), and business-workshop to support joint projects.

Within the framework of these meetings the participants have discussed issues of joint projects implementation in the field of medicine, energy, and housing and social infrastructure using public-private partnership arrangement. The agreements have been reached with a number of Korean companies on joining the projects in Kazakhstan supported by the Holding.

Korean business people were greatly interested by a Financial and non-financial support of Kazakhstan-Korean projects by Baiterek Holding companies group business-workshop, organized by Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Kazakhstan’s Embassy in Korea. In particular, Korean companies expressed interest in the project to construct a road in Turkestan region.

As Anuar Omarkhodjayev, Baiterek Holding Board Chairman Deputy, noted in his speech there are over 500 companies with South Korean share actively operating in Kazakhstan

– This means that Korean business has a great trust in our country. The Republic of Korea has great experience in implementing projects in the field of public health care, education, housing construction, information and scientific technologies.
